In today’s digitally driven world, empowering connections are more vital than ever to our professional success. Mentoring is a potent way to forge these connections, fast track professional growth and accelerate business performance. But when it comes to finding the right mentor or mentee, not many know where to start.
Technology is key. It bridges the generation gap, saves time and money and most of all, it can make things simpler. And so I’ve created Thread: an intuitive, user-friendly app that links and engages professionals with shared values in a structured mentoring program designed to encourage growth, connection and empowerment.
Thread is an intuitive, user-friendly app created by HR expert Melissa Wharton that links and engages professionals with shared values in a structured mentoring program designed to encourage growth, connection and empowerment.

Thread is seeking to commission a national study on mentoring to understand how intergenerational learning can be guided by technology. In todays screenage where individuals spend more time interacting on screens than face-to-face and where an app for everything has become the mantra, it is critical to understand the positive role that technology can play in guiding personal growth. This study will inform the launch of the new Thread mentoring app and website.
The research is being commissioned by Thread and conducted by McCrindle, an independent research organisation. It will be supported by organisations who align with the vision behind Thread's new app and are able to show their interest through financial partnership.
Thread is seeking to obtain partners who would like to financially contribute to this important study on the impact and benefits of mentoring in a digital age.
If you are an organisation looking to launch an internal mentoring program or an individual looking to connect with an online mentoring community click Get Connected and see how Thread can help.
